Rant: My best day with plants turned into a disaster

Last Tuesday I was having the perfect day in my garden. I finally got my jade plant to flower after 3 years of trying. I was so proud I took like 20 photos. Then my neighbor’s kid kicked a soccer ball through my greenhouse glass around 4pm. Shattered two shelves full of my succulent collection. I lost maybe 15 plants I had been growing for over a year. Has anyone else had a good plant day ruined by something totally random?

This is just how life works sometimes. You'll have a perfect moment, then something completely random wipes it out right after. It's like the universe doesn't want us getting too comfortable or happy for too long. Sorry about your plants, that really sucks.

Three years for a jade flower is rough. I had a similar thing happen when a tree branch came down and crushed half my propagation station. Best thing I did was take cuttings from the survivors immediately and get them in water before they stressed out more.
