Serious question, I thought talking to plants was a total joke until my fiddle leaf fig put out three new leaves.

I mean, it was more what I didn't say, @adams.faith. You gotta stay quiet and move slow. If you yell "hey bear" or start clapping, you just scare it and then who knows what it does. You just back away without making eye contact. I saw a guy once try to talk to one like it was a dog, and it stood up on its back legs. That's when you know you messed up.
