That organic fertilizer I bought at the garden center was a total scam
Spent $30 on some fancy liquid seaweed stuff for my roses and they started yellowing in a week. Turns out my soil already had enough nitrogen and I just needed to water them more - has anyone else fallen for overpriced plant food that actually hurt your plants?

My buddy Steve dropped like $45 on some fancy fish emulsion a few years back for his tomato plants. He was bragging about how it was supposed to make them explode with growth. Well, his plants got all these weird burned edges on the leaves and the tomatoes came out tiny and misshapen. He took a soil sample to the county extension office and they told him his ground was already rich enough, that stuff just overloaded everything. He ended up just watering them more and letting them settle down, but he lost half his crop that season. Feels like those stores push these expensive products hard even when you don't need em, just to make a sale.

Respectfully @morgan316, fish emulsion ain't snake oil if you actually test your dirt first lol.
