Took me 5 months to figure out why my peace lily kept drooping

I watered it on a strict schedule and even checked the soil but it kept getting sad after 2 days. Finally realized the pot had no drainage holes I just never flipped it over to look. Anyone else miss something that obvious for way too long?

5 months? That's kind of a long time to not look at the bottom of a pot. I mean I get it happens but honestly a peace lily is a pretty tough plant, it'll bounce back fast once you fix the drainage. Honestly I feel like people make way too big a deal out of these things. You gave it a strict schedule and checked the soil, but the real issue was the pot, not some complicated plant problem. It's just water sitting in there, not rocket science.

@caseys30 but what took you so long to figure out your own plant mistakes?

Wait is caseys30 saying peace lilies are tough plants? Mine died from a single draft from a cracked window, they're dramatic as heck lol. They'll droop for way less than root rot, like if you look at them wrong. I left mine in a pot with a tiny bit of water in the tray and it perked right back up, but one time I overwatered by like a cup and it went full wilt for a week. So yeah drainage is huge but peace lilies are definitely not forgiving about much, they'll throw a fit over anything.
