Trimming back my overgrown pothos gave me a new view on team deadlines
My pothos plant got too wild with long vines. I trimmed it carefully last weekend. Seeing it bounce back so fast got me thinking. At my job, we always hurry projects to finish. Maybe like plants, some work needs time to develop properly.

Rushing tasks at work always backfires for me too. I have a jade plant that needed a harsh cut back last month. Giving it space to recover made it grow back stronger. Forced deadlines just mean we have to redo the work later. Letting things develop properly saves time in the long run.

Disagree, tight deadlines actually help me focus and deliver. Slowing down just lets problems pile up.

Exactly! Parker's jade plant example is perfect. That harsh cut is like a project reboot, not just a delay. @jackson.jenny, tight focus works for some tasks, but for complex stuff, a forced deadline is like trimming a plant wrong. You just get weak growth and have to fix it all over again.
