Vent: Overheard a guy at the garden center say 'just plant it deeper if the stem is leggy'
I was at the nursury on Saturday picking up some basil starts and this guy tells his friend to bury the stem deeper to fix leggy growth. I wanted to yell at him that leggy means not enough light, not a burying problem. Has anyone else had to hold their tongue while someone gives terrible plant advice?

Some dude at my local spot was telling people to water succulents every day." Wait, hold on. Every day? That is honestly terrifying. Like, I feel bad for the plants AND the people who actually listened to him. Succulents basically survive on neglect and spite, you give them daily water and they'll rot from the inside out in like a week. I bet he's one of those people who thinks cacti need full sun all day and a drink every morning. It's wild that people just confidently walk around giving advice that's so completely backwards.

Honestly that's not even the worst advice I've heard. Some dude at my local spot was telling people to water succulents every day. Leggy stems mean they're reaching for light, plain and simple. Burying it just hides the problem instead of fixing it.
