BCI headband stopped reading signals after a firmware update
Updated the firmware on my OpenBCI headband last week and now it won't read EEG signals from the frontal lobe at all. Tried reflashing the old version and resetting the device three times but no luck. Anyone else have a firmware update brick their BCI hardware?

The timing on this is weird - I had a similar thing happen with my Muse headband last year but it was after the battery died mid-update. Did you check if maybe the bootloader got corrupted? That can sometimes happen with these headsets if the power dips during the flash.

Nah. Corrupted bootloader is rare. More likely just bad firmware from the start.
