Had a brutal week with my EEG headset, signal dropouts all day Tuesday

I use a consumer EEG headset for my side projects, mostly for attention tracking while I code. Tuesday was a mess. Every 10 minutes the connection would glitch and I'd lose the waveform. Restarted the software 4 times. Reseated the electrodes maybe 6 times. Still got maybe 20 minutes of clean data out of a 6 hour session. The odd part is the headset worked fine on Monday. Same room, same laptop, same noise levels. I'm wondering if it's interference from my new USB 3.0 hub or maybe just the battery getting old. Has anyone else had a day where their BCI setup just fell apart for no clear reason? What fixed it for you?

Did you try unplugging the USB 3.0 hub to see if that alone stops the dropouts?
