Just got back from a neurotech showcase in Boston and nobody talked about calibration drift

I went to this big BCI demo day at the MIT Media Lab last week and EVERY booth was showing off flashy cursor control and typing speeds. But when I asked each team how often their system needs recalibration, most said every 20-30 minutes or after the user blinks hard. That's a HUGE problem nobody wants to admit in public. Has anyone else run into this issue when trying to use a BCI for more than a quick demo?

Have you ever tried using a gaming mouse that needs its sensor cleaned every 15 minutes or it starts jumping around? I spent an afternoon at a demo where the BCI kept drifting on me, and the guy running the booth just said "oh yeah, you gotta reset your jaw position" like that was normal. It makes you wonder if all those flashy typing speeds are just recorded in the first 2 minutes after a fresh calibration.

Wait, "reset your jaw position"? Like you have to clench your teeth or something to make the brain reader work again? That's wild, I would have just walked away after hearing that.
