My first BCI calibration session made me rethink how I focus
Used to just stare at the screen and guess when the signal was stable, then I ran a 45 minute calibration in Portland and saw the waveforms shift in real time... now I actually wait for the alpha rhythm to settle before I start. Has anyone else noticed their baseline changes between morning and night sessions?

The alpha rhythm thing clicked for me too after my first long calibration. But yeah, my baseline is totally different at 7am vs 10pm, mornings I'm all over the place with beta spikes until I've had coffee, nights it settles way faster. I started logging my sessions and found my sweet spot is around 2-4pm, that's when my signal stays steady without me forcing it. Try doing a quick 5 minute baseline check before you actually start, it saves you from chasing a moving target. Also, if you're in a noisy room or someone's cooking nearby, that throws everything off way more than you'd think.
