Sleep study monitor gave me seizure warnings for 3 nights straight
Bought a consumer EEG headband last month for sleep tracking. First night it flagged abnormal spike patterns and started buzzing at 2am. Panic, went to the ER, they ran tests and found nothing. Second and third night same thing. Turned out the gel contact was too dry and my ceiling fan was creating electrical noise. Replaced the sensor pads and tightened the fit, zero false alarms since. Anyone else get phantom readings from poor electrode contact or a noisy environment?

That electrode contact issue is more common than people realize, especially with any kind of hair or movement at night. The fan noise part makes sense too, since those devices pick up any ambient electrical field like an antenna. A quick test with a grounding mat or turning off nearby appliances can save you a lot of false panic.
