Wasted $600 on a 'revolutionary' EEG headband for focus training

Bought the Neurable FocusBand back in March after seeing sponsored posts all over. After 8 weeks of daily use, I realized it was just measuring my blinking and jaw clenching, not actual brain activity. Has anyone else gotten burned by these consumer-grade BCI gadgets that promise more than they deliver?

Did you notice it was tracking eye movements instead of brainwaves?

Did you try putting the headband on differently to reduce jaw artifact pickup?

Headband position matters a ton for jaw artifacts. I had to tilt mine way forward until the sensors sat right on my forehead. Took a few tries before the readings cleaned up.
