Dropped $85 on a cheap laser level and it saved my whole garage wall job
Last spring I was laying block for a two car garage in Gary and my old bubble level kept giving me fits on the long runs. I grabbed an $85 laser level off the shelf at the supply house mostly because my back was killing me from bending over every three feet. That little thing paid for itself in one weekend, I shot the whole first course dead level in about 20 minutes and only had to tap two blocks with the mallet. Two guys on the crew laughed at me for using it until they saw how fast the corners went up. What's your go to for keeping long walls true, do you still trust a string line over a laser?
