Dropped $85 on a mortar hoe after 7 years of mixing with a shovel

I finally bought a proper mortar hoe last month for $85 after mixing mud with a shovel like some kind of animal for way too long. The first batch I mixed with it took me half the time and my back wasn't screaming at the end of the day. I was so mad at myself for waiting this long that I almost threw the shovel in the dumpster right there on the job. Now I'm wondering what other basic tool I've been cheaping out on for no good reason. What's the one tool you wish you'd bought way sooner?
