Hot take: my old foreman in Buffalo made me redo 40 sq ft of wall just to teach me about wet brick
Back in 2019 I was laying a garage wall in Buffalo and my foreman Sal told me to tear out 40 square feet I'd just finished. I was fuming. He picked up one of my bricks, tapped it on the scaffold, and asked me if it sounded like a dull thud. It did. He said the brick was too wet when I set it, it'll shrink and crack by winter. He was right, that whole section was trash by January. Now I tap every brick before it goes down. Any of you got a foreman who taught you a lesson the hard way like that?
