Mortar board fell off my scaffold on the third floor and a pigeon caught it
I was on a three story job in Birmingham last month and had my mortar board balanced on the scaffold rail while I ran down for a trowel. A gust came through and tipped the whole board off the side. It flipped twice and clipped a pigeon on the way down, and the bird actually landed in the wet mud right next to the mix. My laborer saw the whole thing and still brings it up every morning. Anybody else had a close call with a board going over the side on a windy day?
