Why does nobody talk about tool belt balance before you start a wall?

Been laying block for 9 years now, and it took a job in Phoenix last month to finally get it. I carried my hammer and level on the right side, tape on the left, and by hour 6 my back was shot. A veteran taper watched me struggle and said, "You're fighting your own weight." He moved my level to the center back and my trowel to the front hip, and I finished the last 80 bricks without the usual tightness. I checked my belt that night and it was 14 pounds hanging off one hip. Has anyone else adjusted their pouch setup after a long day, or do you just push through the ache? I'm curious if it's a common oversight or just my bad habit.
