Booked a hostel in Prague with a shared kitchen and saved over $200 on food

My first trip I ate out for every meal, but this time I bought groceries and cooked simple dinners. The difference was huge, like paying for a fancy dinner versus a week of groceries. What's your go-to cheap meal to make in a hostel kitchen?

It's funny how that works, the simplest switch makes the biggest difference. My go-to is pasta with whatever veggies are on sale, maybe some garlic. Feels like a life hack every time.

Remember when my friend tried that? He used cheap zucchini and a can of tomatoes. Said it tasted like a fancy restaurant meal. Couldn't believe it cost maybe four bucks total.

Right? Good ingredients don't have to cost a fortune.
