Found a $12 trick for getting into museums in DC
Was planning a weekend trip to DC and almost paid $45 for a museum pass, but then my cousin who lives there told me about the Bank of America Museums on Us program. If you have any Bank of America card, the first weekend of every month gets you free entry to like 20 places including the National Portrait Gallery. I used it last Saturday and it saved me way more than I expected, even covered the Newseum before it closed. Anyone else use this or know other bank perks for travel?

Honestly I gotta push back on this. That $45 pass probably covers way more than just the first weekend of the month, and you're basically locking yourself into a tiny window to save money. I tried the Museums on Us thing once and the lines were insane, plus half the spots I wanted weren't even on the list. Also not everyone has Bank of America and the whole thing feels like a trap to get you to open an account. Paying the $45 just seems simpler and less stressful than planning your whole trip around a specific weekend.
