Found a $3 hack that saved me $60 on airport breakfast last trip
I got so tired of paying $12 for a sad bagel and coffee at the Denver airport terminal. On a whim I packed a collapsible silicone bowl and a packet of instant oatmeal in my carry-on. Asked a Starbucks counter for hot water for my toddler's bottle and they gave it to me free. Now I eat for pennies while everyone else drops $20 on mediocre pastries. Anyone else got sneaky food hacks for avoiding airport markups?

I used to think the whole packing food thing was kind of extra... like just suck it up and pay the airport tax, you know? But then I got stuck on a layover at O'Hare and spent $16 on a dry croissant and a tiny OJ that didn't even fill me up. The oatmeal trick actually sounds brilliant, especially if you can grab hot water for free like that. I'm definitely gonna try this next trip, maybe throw in some instant coffee packets too.

Wait, did you just walk up to the counter and ask point blank or did you buy something small first to be smooth about it?
