Found a cheap way to get from the Venice airport to the city center
Just got back from Italy and the water taxi from Marco Polo Airport was crazy expensive. I looked up the local bus and it was only 1.50 euros. Took the number 5 bus to Piazzale Roma, which is right by the Grand Canal. The ride was about 20 minutes and dropped me off where I could walk to my hostel. Anyone know other airports where the public transit is this much cheaper than the tourist shuttles?

Try the airport ferry in Stockholm.

Ngl I had no idea they even had a ferry from Arlanda. That sounds crazy honestly. I've taken the flygbussarna like a million times and it's always like 120 SEK or something and takes forever in traffic. Is the ferry actually cheaper or is it just a nicer ride? I gotta check this out next time I'm flying into Stockholm because sitting on a bus for an hour is the worst.

Wait, does the Stockholm ferry go straight from the airport to the city? I remember taking a bus from Arlanda into town and it was still pretty pricey. If there's a boat option that's cheaper, that's a game changer for avoiding all that traffic.
