PSA: The $35 'skip the line' pass for the Louvre was a total scam

Bought it online thinking it would save us hours, but the line for pass holders was just as long as the regular one. We still waited almost 90 minutes to get in. Anyone know a real way to see the big stuff there without the wait?

Did you try going right when it opens or later in the afternoon?

My friend went right at open last week and it was a ghost town, @black.beth, but by noon the line was crazy.

Honestly I gotta push back on this a little. Tbh that 90 minute wait sounds like you hit it at the worst possible time, probably right when the morning rush died down and the afternoon crowd hadn't cleared yet. Ngl I went on a Tuesday in March with the same pass and walked right past the main line in under 15 minutes. If you check the museum's live crowd calendar and aim for a weekday an hour before closing, you can basically stroll past the Mona Lisa without elbowing anyone.
