Question about booking a rental car in Lisbon

I was paying $60 a day for a compact until a local told me to check the train station's on-site desks, where I got the same car for $28. Anyone know other cities where the airport counter is a total rip-off?

Yeah, the ferry terminals are often cheaper too.

Oh wow, I read that airport rental desks in Dublin are crazy expensive too.
