Serious question, has anyone made their own packing cubes from old clothes?
It saved me a bunch on my last trip.

Depends. If you enjoy the process, time isn't wasted.

My old gym shorts became three cubes last year. the_margaret is right about enjoying the process, because my sewing is pretty bad. It took an afternoon, but I already had the fabric and a weird pride in using it up. The zippers from a broken jacket were the hardest part.
