Can we talk about how I used to just throw cash into the gas tank every week without tracking it?

Last month I started logging every drop of gas in a simple app, and I found I was wasting $60 a month just driving to the same coffee shop three blocks away, so now I walk instead and put that money into savings, has anyone else had a similar wake up call with a small daily habit?

Hot take: you're wrong, but it's your money to waste. Tracking that coffee run isn't about being miserable - it's about noticing where your cash is actually going. Most people are shocked when they finally see where their money disappears to. But whatever floats your boat, man.

Man, gotta hard disagree on this one. Tracking every drop of gas and feeling guilty about a three block coffee trip sounds like a miserable way to live. Maybe it's just me but that kind of micromanaging takes the joy out of a small daily ritual. idk, walking to save $60 sounds good on paper but convenience has real value too, especially when you're already tired or running late. I'd rather just pay for the gas and keep my five minute coffee run than sit there logging expenses like I'm doing taxes every week. Life's too short to stress over a few bucks that barely move the needle on a monthly budget anyway.
