Found out my library card saves me about $90 a month

I was cleaning out old receipts and decided to check my hold history on the library app. Turns out I've checked out 14 books and 6 audiobooks since January. At retail prices that's roughly $540, so about $90 a month. I never thought of it as real savings until I put actual numbers to it. Anyone else track what they get from the library versus buying?

The savings stack up way faster than people realize, especially with audiobooks since those are stupid expensive if you buy them individually. Taking it a step further, you could also check if your library has streaming movie services or museum passes, a lot of them do now and nobody uses those. That adds another layer of free stuff on top of the books, probably pushing your real monthly value to $120 or more easy. Once you start counting everything, it gets hard to justify buying anything unless it's a book you know you'll reread ten times.
