I bought a fancy budgeting app subscription and it was a total waste
I paid $80 for a year of 'FinFlow Pro' thinking it would automate everything, but it was way too complicated and I went back to my old spreadsheet in two weeks. Has anyone else wasted cash on a tool that just made things harder?

I spent $60 on YNAB last year and got the same headache. It kept asking me to "give every dollar a job" before I could even log my coffee. My old method was just a Google Sheet with two columns, money in and money out. I realized I needed to see the whole month at once, not answer philosophy questions about my groceries.
