Lost $75 on a meal prep service that was more hassle than help

I signed up for that Freshly meal delivery thing back in March because I thought it would save me time and keep my grocery budget in check. After three weeks, I noticed my credit card got charged $75 and I had barely eaten half the meals because they didn't taste great and I still needed to cook sides. Plus the packaging waste was insane, like a full recycling bin just from six meals. Has anyone else had better luck with a different service or just gave up on these things altogether?

Oh man, the "still needed to cook sides" part got me lol. I tried HelloFresh for a month and realized I was basically paying someone to give me homework. Like congrats, I spent $80 to chop vegetables and feel bad about myself. The packaging is the real kicker too, I felt like I was single-handedly keeping the recycling plant in business. I think these services work if you're someone who already enjoys cooking and just needs the ingredients handed to you, but for the rest of us lazy people they're basically a scam. My freezer is still full of those stupid dry ice packs from four months ago because I don't know what to do with them.
