Mint vs. YNAB comparison after 9 months, one is clearly better

I ran both Mint and YNAB side by side from January through September to see which actually helped me stop overspending. Mint kept showing me pretty charts but I still blew my grocery budget every single week. YNAB forced me to assign every dollar before the month started, and by June I had $400 left over instead of a credit card balance. Has anyone else tried a similar head to head test, and did the winner surprise you too?
