Picked a cheap phone plan over a fancy one, saved $40 a month
I had to decide between sticking with my $70 Verizon plan or switching to Mint Mobile for $30 a month. I was worried about coverage because I work in a warehouse with thick walls, but after 3 months on Mint, I've only had one dropped call. My data speed is a little slower sometimes, but for $480 a year in savings, it's been totally worth it. Has anyone else here tried a discount carrier and had good or bad luck with it?

Wait, you actually switched from Verizon to Mint and it worked out? That surprises me, I've heard so many horror stories about the discount carriers dropping calls in buildings like warehouses. But $480 a year is hard to argue with, I guess your mileage really varies depending on where you live and work.

You on some sort of commission from Mint's marketing team or what? Look, I get it, cheap is cheap, but cheap doesn't mean good when you're standing in a concrete box trying to load a map for a delivery. I'll stick with my overpriced plan that actually works.
