Saw a family of 5 eating at a food court with a spreadsheet open

Was at the mall near downtown yesterday grabbing a slice, and this dad had an entire spreadsheet pulled up on his laptop comparing meal prices from 3 different food stalls. He said they saved $12 just by switching from Panda Express to the sandwich spot. Anyone else bust out actual math in public to plan a meal?
