The $30 freezer bin that changed my grocery spending forever
I was throwing away so much food. Every week some produce or leftover would go bad. Then I got a clear plastic bin for my freezer. I put everything that's about to expire in there. Leftover soup, extra tomatoes, half a bag of spinach. Now I cook a "clean out the freezer" soup every two weeks. Saves me about $40 a month easily. Anybody else use a dedicated bin for this?

I used to think those dedicated bins were just another gimmick but this actually makes a lot of sense... seeing it all in one spot would force me to actually use stuff before it goes bad.

Honestly, you're giving a lot of credit to a plastic bin. It's just a container. If you were gonna let stuff rot in the back of your fridge before, you'll find a way to do it with this thing too. People buy organizers all the time thinking it'll change their habits, then it just becomes another thing to dig through. The real fix is buying less at the store, not getting a fancy tray to stare at. But hey, if it works for you, great. I just wouldn't bet money on it lasting past the first month.
