Took me 6 months to realize my budget app was double counting my savings transfers

Every month I was wondering why my numbers didn't add up. Turned out the app was counting the transfer out of checking AND the same money sitting in savings as two separate expenses. Has anyone else caught their app doing something dumb like that?

Wait, hold up - six months?! That's brutal. You must have been ready to throw your phone against the wall when you finally figured it out. Budget apps are supposed to make things easier, not turn your finances into a math puzzle. Honestly, stuff like this makes me wonder if the people who design these apps actually use them themselves.

Give your cat some extra treats for me, @abby_henderson. Mine still gives me that look when I accidentally bump her while cooking dinner, and it's been like a year. It's amazing how long they hold a grudge over a single clumsy moment.
