Used to chuck all my spare change in a jar. Now I actually count it.
For years I just tossed every nickel and dime into this big glass jar and forgot about it. Then last month I had to pay $80 for a surprise car repair and figured I'd crack it open. Turned out there was $340 in there, mostly just coins from buying coffee and snacks. Now I roll them every two weeks and deposit it straight to savings. Anybody else find a hidden stash that saved them?

My buddy Dave did the same thing with his loose change for years. He cracked open his jar when his water heater broke and found nearly $500 in coins. He used it to pay for the plumber and even had enough left over to buy a new toaster. Now he swears by the jar method and tells everyone to do it.

My jar got me through a parking ticket crisis last year... poured out $87 in dimes and nickels like some kind of broke superhero. @barbara_taylor83 your buddy Dave is living proof we're all just one water heater away from becoming coin-counting billionaires.
