Caught a local news article getting scrubbed from the web in real time

Last Tuesday I was reading a piece about a water testing controversy in Flint. The story showed how a state agency missed telling residents about lead levels for 3 months back in 2015. I clicked to share it with a friend, and the page gave me a 404 error. Refreshed, checked the site map, nothing. Wayback Machine had a cached copy from 4 hours earlier, but the live version was gone. No correction notice, no update, just deleted. That made me dig into whether other outlets had picked it up. Found the same piece on a smaller blog, but the original source straight up vanished. Has anyone else seen this happen where a major outlet pulls a story without explanation?

Flint had that exact same thing happen with a few stories I tried to find last month.
