Found a story in a Santiago paper that every US outlet ran as a 2 line brief, and the difference in framing messed me up
Six months ago I started reading La Tercera and El Mercurio alongside my usual feeds, and a protest story that got 900 words down there showed up as maybe 40 words on two US sites I check daily. Same facts, except the Spanish version had names, a neighborhood, and what the cops actually did, while the US brief just noted that protests happened. Has anyone else watched the same event get flattened like that and wondered how much we never get told at all?
