Just realized a story about a factory protest in Guangdong was scrubbed from a major news site
It took me nearly a week of checking web archives and foreign reports to find a full account. Anyone else run into a story that just vanished from its original source?

Ever try checking the comments section on a video about it? I found a full transcript of a deleted article once because someone had pasted it into a YouTube comment. Sometimes pieces get saved in the weirdest places.

Used to think comment sections were just noise. Then I found a lost recipe in a forum reply from 2008. Makes you wonder what else is hiding in plain sight.

Have you tried searching the Internet Archive with specific date ranges? I dug up an entire deleted blog post once by narrowing it down to the month it was still up. Also, don't sleep on old Reddit threads or cached versions of sites like Pastebin. People copy-paste stuff there all the time before it vanishes.
