I used to wait for the evening news to find out what was happening in my town, but last month a zoning vote got buried online. I started checking the county clerk's public database instead, and it took me about 20 minutes to find the full agenda and votes. Now I cross-check the clerk's site with our small paper every Tuesday morning. Has anyone else had luck pulling records from their local government to fill in what the media skips?
