Looking for sources on a specific factory fire in Bangladesh that got zero coverage here
I was researching industrial safety for a project and stumbled across a brief mention of a garment factory fire in Dhaka from about eight months ago. The local reports I found said over twenty people died, but I couldn't find a single article from any major news outlet in my country. I spent three hours digging through international news archives and alternative news sites just to get the basic facts. It felt like the story was completely blocked from view here. Has anyone else hit a wall trying to find info on suppressed labor incidents?

Sounds about right. My search history looks just as desperate when I'm trying to find out why a package is three days late.

That's really frustrating to hear but sadly not surprising. It feels like certain stories just vanish if they don't fit a bigger news cycle. You put in all that work just to find basic facts that should be easy to get. Makes you wonder what else slips through the cracks when it involves far away places and tough working conditions. Did the local reports mention if there was any official response from the factory owners?
