Haha, that's perfect. We had the exact same thing happen with "To Kill a Mockingbird" at our local community center, moved it to a friend's backyard and the real talk came out.

That whole 'the library shut us down' thing hit a nerve. We had a similar mess here in Dallas where our reading group wanted to talk about "The Handmaid's Tale" and the church that let us meet suddenly backed out. Ended up just moving it to my buddy's garage, threw some folding chairs and a cooler in there. Had the best discussion we ever had, actually, since nobody was whispering or looking over their shoulder. Sometimes a private space is better than fighting the system, you know?
