Satellite outage hid a whole coup attempt in Gabon for hours

Last August I was tracking the Gabon coup and my feeds went dark, turns out the government jammed satellite signals before the military even announced anything. Has anyone else seen a story get buried by infrastructure cuts like that, not censorship?

Three hours of dead signal, and honestly, that could just be a normal Tuesday for a country with spotty infrastructure. Gabon isn't exactly known for bulletproof internet on a good day, so I'm not sure how they'd prove it was deliberate jamming and not just a broken cable somewhere. And even if it was the government, what's the actual difference between that and them just not letting reporters near the palace? Sounds like the same outcome to me, just with extra steps.
