The story about a mine leak in Brazil kept getting deleted, then I saw the satellite photos
I figured the posts about the Brumadinho dam collapse were just clickbait floating around, because I kept seeing them vanish from a few news feeds I follow. Then a friend who does map work pulled up before and after satellite images from January 2019 and showed me 12 million cubic meters of waste mud that buried a cafeteria and a bridge. I stopped brushing it off after that, because the timing of the removals lined up too well with when the company's stock dipped. Has anyone saved copies of those early reports before they got scrubbed?
