Why does nobody mention the $200 I wasted on a VPN that got blocked in Turkey within a week?

I paid for a full year of Surfshark before a trip to Istanbul, but it was useless after day 3 because the government started blocking the IP ranges. Has anyone else had a VPN subscription fail on them in a country with strict censorship?

Bet they don't offer refunds for blocked IPs either.

Why should they give refunds for blocked IPs when it's clearly in their terms of service that they can block anyone for any reason? @skyler_mitchell, if you're scraping their site or logging in from a VPN that's known for abuse, that's on you. Most services these days put that clause right in the fine print when you sign up, and people just click through without reading. I've seen plenty of horror stories where users got blocked after breaking the rules and then tried to chargeback, but the company just showed the ToS they agreed to.
