A client in Denver told me my cleaning checklist was overkill and it actually made me rethink my whole system.

After I spent 45 minutes detailing my 12-point checklist for a deep clean, she just looked at me and said, 'Honestly, all that structure just slows you down and costs me more, I mean, I just want my floors to shine.'

Yeah, that's everywhere now. People just want the result, not the process you built to get there.

Yeah but the thing is a 12-point checklist isn't automatically overkill, it just depends on what the client actually needs. Some people really just want a basic pass and don't care about the nitpicky details, so you gotta match the plan to their goal not your pride. If she's happy with shine without the full system then maybe just give her the shine and keep the checklist for clients who actually value it.
