Choosing between a big CRM upgrade or a simpler help desk tool for our team of 12
Honestly, we were stuck between spending $5,000 on a full Salesforce setup or just getting Zendesk for about $800 a year. We went with Zendesk because our main issue was customer ticket chaos, not needing all the sales pipeline stuff. It's been 3 months and our response time is down by like 40%. Has anyone else picked a simpler tool over a big system and been surprised?

But what happens when your team grows past 12 people? You might find yourself needing that sales pipeline stuff sooner than you think, and then you're stuck paying for two systems. That initial $5,000 could have been cheaper than switching everything over later.

Makes total sense to go with what actually fixes your day to day headaches first. Idk, that 40% drop in response time is a huge win for a team of 12, and something that keeps your customers happier now feels more important than guessing what you might need later. Really glad that simpler choice worked out for you guys.

Yeah that "stuck paying for two systems" point is real, but sometimes you gotta solve the fire in front of you first. A big system you don't use is just wasted money, and you can always move later if you actually need it.
