Found out our warehouse is losing $12,000 a year just from broken pallets nobody bothered to stack right
I stumbled on that number while digging through an old audit report from 2022, and now I can't stop watching how the crew loads the trucks because it turns out we're basically throwing cash into the trash compactor... has anyone else found a hidden money leak in their facility that just made you feel dumb for not noticing sooner?

Beth, does $12,000 just disappear into thin air like spare change into a couch? I get that big operations can brush off small losses, but those little leaks add up to big habits over time. It's like how people let their tap drip for years until the water bill shocks them or they let old food rot in the back of the fridge until they realize they're buying doubles of everything. We just get used to the waste and stop seeing it. Once you spot one leak, you start noticing them everywhere, from the warehouse floor to your own kitchen.

I mean, is $12k really that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things (especially if your warehouse moves millions a year)? It sounds like a lot until you factor in time spent retraining everyone and tracking down who's at fault. Honestly, maybe just write it off as a cost of doing business and move on.
