Hit 10,000 invoices processed this quarter and it finally clicked why we needed better software

I decided to count how many invoices we ran through the shop last quarter and it came out to 10,400 exactly. Took me an afternoon to manually tally them from the stacks of paper we keep. That number made me realize we were wasting hours just hunting down paperwork and re-entering data. We moved to a simple cloud system last week and I'm already saving about 5 hours a week just on filing. Has anyone else seen their numbers jump way higher than they expected and had to change their whole process?

OH MAN that number really puts things in perspective! 10,400 invoices is ABSURD for manual processing. You must have been spending half your week just on filing alone. But here's what I'm curious about - when you switched to the cloud system, did you have to do a massive cleanup of your data first or did you just start fresh? Cause I bet there's a bunch of old messy records buried in those paper stacks that could cause problems later. And were you the one pushing for the change or did you have to convince someone else in charge?

Hit 12,000 parts tagged in our warehouse last month before I realized we were drowning in spreadsheets. Switched to a barcode scanner system and cut data entry time by 60%. The real win was not having to dig through filing cabinets for three year old purchase orders.
