Our inventory count in the Chicago warehouse took three full weeks to fix
We switched to a new inventory system called StockSync in January, and the data migration messed up our counts for over 2,000 SKUs. My team thought it would be a two-day cleanup, but we had to manually verify every item against old records. What's the fastest way you've fixed a major data error like this?

Honestly that whole "clean slate" idea black.amy mentioned is so true for more than just data. You see it everywhere, like when a messy room gets so bad you just empty everything out and start over instead of moving stuff around. Trying to fix a broken system piece by piece can take forever, but a full reset, even if it hurts at first, gets you to a good place faster. It's like ripping off the band-aid instead of picking at it for weeks.

Ugh that sounds like a total nightmare. Honestly the fastest fix we ever pulled off was when we stopped trying to fix the bad data and just locked the warehouse for a full 24-hour recount. Letting the new system start fresh with perfect numbers was way faster than untangling the mess. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and redo the whole thing from scratch lol.
