Our inventory system at the Denver warehouse crashed mid-shipment yesterday

We were processing a 400-unit order for a retail client when the barcode scanner software just froze and logged everyone out. Took us 45 minutes to get IT to reboot the server, but we had already missed the FedEx cutoff. Has anyone else had a system failure like this and found a way to recover lost shipping time?

That’s brutal... missing the FedEx cutoff is the worst. Last year our whole system went down during a rush order and we had to hand-label everything just to get it out the door the next morning.

Missing the cutoff by 45 minutes sounds like a real treat. Maybe the IT guys were testing how fast you can write "we're sorry" emails.

Ha, yeah we had something similar happen at a shop I worked at a couple years back. The whole system just bricked right as we were trying to get a truck loaded for an 8 AM pickup. Took IT like two hours to even get back to us and by then we had missed both the morning and afternoon deadlines. Honestly we ended up just staying late and hand-scanning everything with a handheld scanner one by one. It was a mess but we got it out the next day. Ngl, that 45 minute wait for IT reboot sounds familiar, they always take forever.
