Overheard a warehouse manager in Dallas say something that clicked

I was grabbing coffee near a industrial park last week and heard this guy on the phone say 'stop treating your inventory like a museum, move it or lose it'. That hit me hard. I realized my own small biz was sitting on 300 units of slow movers just because I was scared to mark them down. Has anyone else dealt with that mental block of letting go of old stock?

Move it or lose it" - man, that warehouse manager nailed it. I had the same stupid mental block with my Etsy shop, holding onto a bunch of fall-themed stuff way past Christmas because I felt like I was admitting defeat by discounting it. Finally just marked it all 50% off and cleared it out in like a week, and honestly the cash in hand felt way better than having boxes of unsold junk staring at me from the corner. It's like your brain gets attached to the idea that you'll magically sell it at full price someday, but that day never comes and you're just tying up money that could be used for stuff people actually want to buy. Now I'm way more ruthless about rotating stock every few months and it's saved my sanity.

Respectfully, holding stock sometimes builds urgency and lets you sell at full price later.
